After reading this post on Metafilter: http://www.metafilter.com/150888/Deep-web-horror

I've had trouble finding more. So I cast notes inside castaway bottles into the Hubski sea. I'm thinking macabre, surreal, reality turned on its head, mind-f*ckery type games. The kinds that are ephemeral, found on a portfolio filed under "tests", abstract, like walking into a deep dark cavern underneath a speakeasy and finding humans dressed as cows playing strange music with light bulbs and forks, while a video of a cabin door swinging slowly open and closed is projected onto the ceiling.
I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but A Way To Go is a pretty trippy game. It seems pretty normal at first, but it gets interesting quickly after. It's also free and online!
Dang, man. I use Vivaldi, so I assumed it would work for everybody /:
That kind of depends on how much tinkering you're willing to do. I personally love it. I switched from Chrome and I'm running it on Mac for some background. I like how fast it is and how the tabs systems work. Everything feels really nice to me and it is a beautiful looking browser. The biggest complaint I've heard is that there aren't any extensions; however, you can add most of the extensions from Chrome (e.g. AdBlock). If you want a perfect browser that is immediately useable, then this isn't for you. But I enjoy getting to play around with it, so I really like this browser. I feel it could eventually rival Chrome, but definitely not right now. Right now it's more akin to Opera (for obvious reasons) than anything else.
LSD falls into the realm of experimental and screwing with your head, though isn't necessarily horrifying. Perception looks to be interesting, but has only recently been kickstarted, so it'll be a while yet before release.
Oh, I'm not very serious. Your cow suits scenario just made me think of the Witch House (along the lines of Fever Ray, usually an interesting live experience) and Noise Rock (I never got it) and Really Sketchy Basement Situations (oh man) sort of stuff I encountered around there.
Two out of three of the proper nouns you mentioned I'd never heard of, something I'm always glad to encounter. Googling "Witch House", I found this hour long music mix on Youtube:
As for "Noise Rock," is this what you were referring to?
I just stumbled across this thread, and I can't sleep, so I'm going to dump some links on you instead.

youtube user Rockleesmile did an "Indie Impressions" video every day for a really long time, and he covered a lot of abstract and "art" games - Ludum Dare games, other Game jam games, all sorts. I'd highly recommend his channel and his content.
I made one a while ago called 776-778-780 http://hellojed.itch.io/776
Call of Cthulhu would be the first to come to mind. Something more action oriented while retaining an oppressive atmosphere would be the first Quake, by id Software.
SCP - Containment Breach
And SCP in general.
I played one once similar to the video you've linked. It was a unity based game, set in WW1, but hypersurreal. The trenches were stretched out, labyrinthine and impossibly high walled, like a surrealist artists interpretation of what the feeling of being those waterlogged, clausterphobic hellholes must have felt like. The antagonist was a rat, but larger than you, and grotesquely malformed. You had no real defence except fleeing it. I remember you could tear legs off the decomposing bodies of soliders scattered around the trenches and throw them to distract the ever approaching and ravenous rat-thing for a few brief seconds while you fled. I cannot remember the name of though. Ninja Edit: I found it:

I'm not sure if this qualifies for what you're interested in, but I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is both a very disturbing short story and video game.
The guys who made Amnesia are putting out a new game, Soma that looks to be pretty solid.
Soma looks like a really cool theme. It also looks interesting that they are bringing the puzzling aspects back from Penumbra. It kind of looks like a Penumbra/Amnesia mix with a more futuristic theme. Thanks for letting me know about that! The problem with Penumbra was that it is now a really old game and a bit hard to play. It's pretty fascinating when you get into it, but those damn dogs.... they just needed to balance those dogs out a bit I think. Most of the game is just running from those damn things and hiding for 10 minutes.
It's close enough, and I liked. Thanks! If anyone else is interested, here's the link to play the game: http://ebony.extra.hu/
