Saying 'in the rich world' and then citing the total data from the US is a little misleading. Most of the deaths from violence are among poverty-stricken young men. If we only counted the "rich" America, I think we would see a totally different story.
Two questions. Why are our traffic deaths so high? And what constitutes other?

Not sure on "other". We have more cars though. Over one per household, that's pretty unheard of in most countries. I'd guess that the majority of 16 year olds in the US have access to a car for personal use.
