He's an interesting fellow. The opening lyrics to their opening song, The State I Am In sums up how I feel about them. Might be my favorite or second favorite of theirs, though Piazza is amazing too. I was happy for a day in 1975I was surprised
A great song and a great lyric. I don't know if I could pick any favorites. Piazza is not one of them though. I have some odd choices that I don't think many would agree with. In fact, off of Dear Catastrophe Waitress my favorite track is: I had just broken up with a girl I dated for 5 years when this album was released. This song really struck me. I said goodbye to someone that I love It's not just me I tell you it's the both of us And it was hard Like coming off the pill that you take to stay happy -The music is so upbeat and the lyrics are often so sad. I dig the duality. I think the best songs have it.
How do all of you people sustain relationships for that long, jeez. Always kind of marvel at people who are able to keep things together for more than a year or two, you know? That is a great song...and you're absolutely right about the duality of things. It's always present in Stuarts music, you know, I think it comes from his fatigue syndrome that he suffered from and still suffers from. It's not a readily apparent illness but it's there, I think that's a duality too. On the outside appearing healthy when in reality you are not.I had just broken up with a girl I dated for 5 years
