- Since the Lower Mainland really only has two seasons (cold and horrifically wet, and warm and "when will this rain ever stop" wet), what's the point of using autumn, winter, spring and summer when Whiskey and Gin would do?

June-uary is full effect no doubt. I tried and tried to read my hubski book club book last weekend on one of Vancouver's beautiful beaches, but the clouds would not abstain. Honestly, I can't remember a wetter Northwest spring. True, a mojito does the trick nicely, but - given the cost - i'll take a two-four of pac-pil anyday. Rain or shine.

It's funny, my fiancee has been using the term 'June-uary' ever since she heard it from a customer at work. I just hope that we get a nice week or so in August after we move just north of White Rock so we can enjoy our proximity to the beach.

Just north of White Rock, like Surrey? I rode my bike down to Boundary Bay last summer and boy was it blistering. I'm sure August will be good to you :)

Yup, found us an amazing first place in South Surrey. August can't come fast enough.
