The approach makes little sense to me. There should be specific goals and a time limit. I'll probably vote no for this reason. I doubt a 20% quorum will be reached anyway. They should have capped The DAO and run it as an experiment. If it must be split apart, so be it.

Equally attractive to some is the fact that a blockchain-enabled organization is completely transparent and does not rely on a managerial class with high salaries to complete its functions. Everything is done by the code, which anyone can see and audit.
