Currently sitting staring at what I think is a failed update. Who would have thought users may wish to have both a ssd and a normal driver. I don't think I've hated a Windows os this much since Windows ME. Forced updates the size of SP1 that may or may not brick your system ughhh so angry right now.
Installed with no problem on two of my systems. It took a long time and I suspected that the update had failed on a lower power laptop but after about twenty minutes it pushed on through. Put a new desktop together last week. 10 installed faster on it than on any system I've ever had.
This is pretty much my experience too. My first time using Windows as well. I was hoping for something as polished as OS X for the price, but it feels as (un)polished as linux. My biggest complaint is I designed the box to use zfs sdd caching and can't figure out how to replicate that w/ windows.
Mine kept spinning for a good 45 min yesterday. No progress bar, no nothing just the spiny shit. I was really pissed and though it was totally f-ed. Somehow it completed though eventually so I was really happy about that. Still really unhappy that they messed around with the UI for no reason whatsoever, and that some applications seem to be less responsive and crash more often. I risked totally corrupting my OS to get a bunch of features I didn't want and an incorporation point that was really inconvenient for me. I'm going to accept a few more patches to fix the stability issues but once its stable again im definitely going to put my WIFI connection into metered mode to prevent future major updates from being pushed before all the bugs have been worked out.
