If the spam cant be mitigated at the moment, i think the "shitty hubski" option becomes a design flaw. Unless it can be made ironically shitty somehow. Now thats a challenge.
I can't read German, damn it.
edit: there's literally a post titled "Angelina Jolie."
edit2: Apparently people filtering the same user will eventually auto-filter that user for everyone else! neat-o!
Yeah that's what I'm thinking. mk you should really roll out some propaganda on this targeted at impressionable teens looking for a purpose, maybe call it "being a part of something bigger."
I've got almost 600 people blocked and only a few of them were people as opposed to commercial entities. Filtering users that have been members for less than 2 days makes a big difference. I regretted doing it but I'd never go back. mk I probably have more people listed as user inactivated on my block list than I have names. I can't imagine spammers taking the time to inactivate their account. What's going on with that? I think at some time in the past I asked if there were anyway to clear all the inactivated accounts off my list, you said you'd look into it, what do you think?
I filter #spam, and my feed is almost always clean. I haven't been on global enough recently to really make an impact in stemming the tide. I'll see if I can do more. Also, I burned one community tag on a piece of medium-rare spam (it wasn't quite well done) a couple of days ago, to make a not-great joke. Sorry about that, everyone, it won't happen again.
