First time through I was from San Francisco, Berkeley or Oakland which was hilarious as I have never spent more than a day at a time there.
Second time through I'm from Stockton, Fresno or Phoenix which is even more hilarious because I make it a goal to never so much as slow down while passing through those communities.
It said I was from Buffalo or Michigan, when I grew up outside of Toronto. Pretty close. Your slight accent is completely fine and really does need any work unless you want to be heard as having an English mother tongue. Which I guess is the goal when learning any foreign language but isn't anything you should worry too much about. A friend has spoken English and Polish his whole life and began learning English after moving to Montreal when he was about 4 and has a "heavier" accent then you. But then again he likes being identified as Quebecois. The first video I watched I knew you were from Montreal but with a twist I could not figure out.
Yeah, it doesn't bother me too much honestly - I think I have pretty good english for Quebec :) But then again, I'm not that close to Quebecois culture. It's just a little bit of a bummer that my older sister has basically no accent, and she moved to Canada at 2 while I was born here. I think it's mostly a sibling rivalry thing haha.
Uh. One of the three places on my map are actually where I'm from...wow.
Mine was spot on. Not only did it include the city I've lived in for the past twenty years, the grading appears to be darker red in the rural area I grew up.
Thought I was from California instead of Florida for some reason as well
