The only part of this piece that talks at all about what Emily Warren Roebling did that was noteworthy is this:

    The conclusion of this unfortunate chain of events meant that Emily Roebling took over much of the chief engineer's duties, although her husband retained his official title.
The entire article is based around the presumption that she was indispensable in the construction of one of the worlds greatest engineering feats (which she may well have been) but it never gives any specifics as to what she did or how she did it.

Why was she indispensable? What are some decisions she made that others might not have? Etc.
