This looks great but a usability headache. Ignoring the keyboard and forcing me to use a mouse to navigate is a big no sadly.
Yep. I've suffered wrist pain for years which I narrowed down to overuse of the mouse - whatever I do to try and alleviate it. I spent a long, long time training myself to maximise keyboard / minimise mouse use which doesn't cause me pain. Had to stop playing video games among another changes. Clicking over and over again would almost definitely be a trigger. I doubt one time would be a problem but it's not worth it. I'm not looking for sympathy but to deliberately disable keyboard control in a browser feels egregious to me.
You might have found the best solution for your situation. Before my wife moved to management out of production she had a click intensive job and her hands were killing her. She's an advanced user for her field and she had mastered every shortcut and wrote a lot of macros but it wasn't enough, she still racked up tons of clicks a day. She started using a foot pedal on her main work station and it helped a lot. You might have tried it or it might not be a viable solution for your use case but it saved her a great deal of pain.
