I came to drugs late in life. When I was a kid, coke and weed were huge in my metalhead community. But I had no interest (or money) in such things. I was also the kid that wanted to "be different", so when everyone else started smoking in Junior High School, I specifically DIDN'T take up smoking so I would "be different".

But after years and years of Burning Man, I finally tried mushrooms. Then acid. Then Ketamine. And, of course, whipits.

By far, my preferred mind-altering experience is mushrooms. The experience of feeling genuinely "one" with every molecule on the planet is a deeply affecting experience. The love you feel for everything and everyone is all-encompassing. And there is no "hangover" from mushrooms, unlike liquor, ketamine, coke, MDMA, etc.

And the good feelings - the opened mind set - lasts. For a week; sometimes for a lifetime.

Those REALLY ANNOYING boho chic hippies spewing love and equality, and swirling around in circles dancing? Yeah. Those people feel it... and don't annoy me any more.
