Ok, I can't top mk and thenewgreen's adorable pictures. But even though I haven't personally contributed to more humans being on the planet I am still thankful for family and friends!
I too am thankful for friends old and new: look forward to meeting new Hubskiers in 2013! Who knows, maybe a Toronto meet-up will happen?? Here's me and insomniasexx
If you ever came to Toronto, you would have a mediocre couch to sleep on free of charge!
Thanks Cadell, I will seriously consider how I can make that trip a reality. It's only about a 4-5 hour drive from Ann Arbor as I recall. Not unthinkable that it could happen. With us, plus lil that's 3, get mk and b_b to jump in the car with me and we've got enough for a Hockey line. -Was going to use basketball, but this is Canada. We may need a larger couch ;)
Haha! I'm actually a basketball guy! I've never been able to skate.
I'm realizing I'm thankful for a lot this year. Is that a sign that I'm growing up? The last couple years I've been generally miserable in life for a variety of reasons and 2 days in LA just to go back to NYC or Maine snow was a tease. I'm thankful to be living back in California - my home - my beach town. I am thankful I got out of here and saw the world and lived outside my South Bay Bubble. I am thankful that I spent the last savings I had and got the fuck out of Maine and ended up in Australia. I am thankful for all the experiences I had there - something I will probably never be able to do again (pack my bags, leave my life, end up at home, and end up halfway around the world 2 months later.) I'm grateful that my parents haven't kicked me out of the house yet - or made me start paying rent. I'm thankful to have a pretty solid man in my life that works his butt off, has a wide range of goals for the future and loves me even with my flaws. I am grateful that I can sleep next to him almost every night and wake up next to him almost every morning. I am thankful for all he does for me, especially the calling-me-out-on-my-bullshit part and pushing me to be the best I can be at everything. I'm thankful that I have a savings account with money in it. I'm thankful I can go to any store and buy whatever I feel like eating and not look at the price tag (except at Whole Foods...$12 for a cup of salsa?! poshhhhh) I'm thankful for having a job where I get to learn a lot and meet some great people. I am thankful for that paycheck. I am grateful for I am hope that one day I will be working for a company that isn't run by a crazy maniac who thinks "videos in pdfs would be the greatest thing ever." I am thankful for Hubski and the thrilling, funny, insightful, stupid, and intelligent things that get posted here on a daily basis. I am thankful that I can learn about random things every day of my life. I am grateful for the variety of resources online that help me learn new skills and refresh old ones. I am thankful to be happy and mentally stimulated and challenged again.
The hard work of my father and the opportunities he has given me.
