inject this haterade into my veins i was chatting with a buddy earlier and i was saying that i don't know anybody who wants AI shit - i know AI haters and AI agnostics, but nobody i know in person is gung ho for AI. who is this stuff for? the biggest effect this whole craze has had on the average person is massively increasing the amount of spam online and adding some shit into your phone U2 album style
Had a pretty great find today. This basically never happens. I imagine some pretty good graphical prompt hacking and interfacing. But yeah, the "functioning as good or better than a human" sorta direction with it continues to be so funny. It's still taking jobs, and I think a lot of graphic artists jobs are never coming back, and that sucks.
"enormous flantikas?" Youtube served me up "AI Ruins Everything" and I will admit to appreciating it. If you click on that though your feed will be CURSED.
AI is the Dunning-Kruger God. If you don't know what you don't know, a chatbot tuned to make memes is going to pass your Turing test. And if you assume you're smarter than everyone else, everything stupid that it does falls into the "they're stupider than me, they'll like it" camp. I can relate two iron-clad, gold-star uses of AI, based on my personal experiences of late: - I get dinner started, take my kid to swimming, walk about three miles and then wait for her to be done while playing Wordscapes (without a pi-hole to make it livable). The ads that aren't Township or Evony are for cheating apps, AIs that will take a picture of your homework and give you an answer. My kid is in 6th grade and her classmates are already using AI to do their homework. If you're looking for a simple test question that you absolutely don't care about the answer, AI will ABSOLUTELY give you what you want. - The kid comes out of swimming, we pile in the car, go home, eat dinner and watch an episode of Gilmore Girls. The kid rounds to bed and I surf Youtube a little. Youtube throws up a very specific type of video - a bookish nerd with a sinister voice who reads facts while an amalgam of not-even-vaguely-good AI art that is only marginally connected to the discussion at hand. if you're looking for stock footage that isn't stock and isn't footage and you couldn't give two shits about how terrible it is, AI will ABSOLUTELY give you what you want. So - the two places I see AI already making money are (1) the destruction of learning (2) the destruction of knowledge. If you're interested in knowing absolutely nothing, and striving to ensure that nobody else does either, Sam Altman is your guy.who is this stuff for?
