New feature. By silencing any dissenting opinion, it effectively creates a "discussion" where only those who agree can participate.

hubski is designed to be an echo chamber though.

And depending on why you're ignoring people, it can be less about dissenting opinions and more about "This guy is kind of a jerk.", which could have absolutely nothing at all to do with how much or how little you necessarily agree with them.

I'd guess the new feature. If you just ignore anyone with a dissenting opinion, then it's not really a discussion is it?

I could see a compromise of allowing anyone to comment on submissions, but having OP not able to see threads that ignored users start.
