Inspired by Part 2 of kleinbl00's 7 part story.
The best Macaroni and Cheese I've ever had is at a place in Raleigh called Pooles Diner in Raleigh. The photo below is from there.
Maybe a more interesting question would be "what's the best Bordeaux you've ever had"?
bgood79, is the Clarkston Union where we went prior to seeing Phish? Next time I'll have to check out the Mac. Cool place.
Best: Scott's Bar&Grill, Edmonds, WA (no longer on the menu). Close second: Truxton's, Westchester/LAX. Best Bordeaux: 1975 Château Mouton Rothschild. It was not something I would buy, but it was pretty delicious. Did not have it with mac'n'cheese. Pretty sure we had Chateaubriand.
Sometimes I like a real fancy-pants M&C, but sometimes I like a real cheap one, full of processed cheese-foods and meats. Best? Couldn't say for sure, but I do know that while I'm told my M&C is delicious, I always like it a lot better when someone else makes it.
