In the hearing, Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI) was questioned about the core problems in the bill, like the broad immunity and new corporate spying powers. In response, he characterized users who oppose CISPA as "14 year olds” tweeting in a basement.

Rogers is a joke. When he was running for state senate in MI he was fond of using his time at the FBI to impress his crowds. He would start telling a story and then pause in thought and say, wait a minute... is that classified? No, I think it's de-classified I can tell you.... and people ate it up. I worked as a kid on the campaign for a guy named Michael Hatty that ran against him for his state senate seat. We lost, it sucked and now his buffoonery has made it to the big-leaugues. Tis a shame.
