Most of my worst professors would never have been able to handle this kind of criticism, the rest of them would probably benefit.Most of these conditions are replicable for most professors—at least, most tenured professors.
It's a shame that teaching experience or even rudimentary training aren't required of most candidates for professorial roles at universities. Too often, bad professors are researchers or scholars that add prestige or generate money for universities. Many people in my extended family, as well as my parents are professors and to hear them talk about the internal politics of even one department is exhausting.
