They did a very similar thing in Detroit when we hosted Superbowl XL. It really is a shame. There is a difference between putting your best foot forward, and creating the illusion of a reality that doesn't exist. Doing this for an economic summit seems even worse.

I remember them doing that for the World Series in Detroit as well. All of a sudden there were bars and restaurants that literally opened up for two weeks and then closed. Not to mention the places that were literally completely fake and never opened at all for business. A shame and a sham. Reminds me of that movie, the Truman Show
