Did they acquiesce, or acknowledge their understanding?
What the Fuck, are we all fucking idiots, of course they knew they were going to be sprayed! That is the most powerful thing about their action. This is one of the stupid piece of shit things I've ever seen posted on Hubski. fr33lunch, do you work for the DHS or are you just completely naive to the point of civil disobedience? These students showed courage in maintaining their civil disobedience knowing that they were about to have sever pain inflicted upon them. You don't need 4 camera views to know what was going down at UC Davis, unless you are an ignorant FOX news viewer.
I really can't say how much this "news" piece bothers me. It is a sterling example of missing the point.

The point of the post was that I found it interesting that someone was trying to state that the protestor's "agreed" to be sprayed. From what I saw on the videos one protestor said, "So you're gonna spray us because we won't move? Ok." To me, it was less an ok to be sprayed as an acknowledgement that they understood what the officer was saying. It is obvious that the media has a bias for and against this issue. In this case, the media is again saying that the students knew they were going to get sprayed, agreed to it, and therefore deserved what they got.
cgod, it's clear you are very passionate about this topic. I'm sorry you didn't like the article, but it prompted a reaction in you. It did the job it was intended to do - sensationalize. Not everything I read or find interesting do I agree with, but if it strikes a reaction in me I am inclined to talk about it. I don't watch Fox news or MSNBC for that matter.
