We dropped entirely too much money. $14,000 between our ceremony and reception. We'd rather have had a smaller ceremony but parents insisted on certain things. Altogether it was good, and I suppose that 14k is distressingly average.

I'm not sure to what degree this qualifies as "lesser known". It is certainly an older show, but still super funny. It's called "Are You Being Served" and lampoons all sorts of British stereotypes in a department store post-WWII. It's got few sets ,a small cast, but is witty and well-written. The jokes hold up very well and the actors are great. It sometimes pops up on PBS, otherwise, you'll have to find a DVD or alternate means.

I read/listened to all of the books in college as part of my Children's Lit. class. I have to say that the trailer shows promise with sticking to the overall tone of the books. The slightly off-kilter, indeterminate time period, and generally darkish tone of the series really sings through. Color me excited.
