I have and would say the effects are kinda subtle. Really all I noticed was that it allowed me to sleep about an hour or 2 less a night and still feel completely rested the next day. I simply didn't feel tired at until later than usual and woke up on time feeling rested. Its hard to say if it removed the need for that sleep or it simply improved the quality of my sleep. For me that is not enough of a benefit to take a drug with unclear long term effects.

What about cloudy days or night time? That to me is the biggest drawback of solar, it can only be a compliment to other energy sources not a complete replacement. I suppose until we come up with better energy storage systems.
Yeah i never considered that, we seed clouds offshore to prevent rain or pump in water to simulate rain. But in regards to irrigation the rain has still fallen over land and was collected. But those just single weather events alterations. Manipulating the wind patterns with permeant structures has the potential to be a climate altering change.
I think this deal benefits consumers as long as it doesn't go so far as to create a so called paid fast lane for certain web sites at the expense of others. I mean Netflix is such a huge suck of bandwidth they need the speed bost to offer a better product but many other non video intensive sites do not. I think it's a good idea from Netflix's perspective, they had to have been thinking about the issue of content delivery for a long time until now. I guess what I'm saying is if this is just a solution for sites that need to transmit huge amounts of data no one is really losing here.
The air coming off the ocean does a lot more than just cause storms. What about all the moisture it brings, stopping that or even diminishing that in some areas would be hugely detrimental. I'm not so sure about the prospect of manipulating weather without fully understanding the consequences.
