Good and proper reasons!
I know next to nothing about Czech politics, but I know an effective image/marketing when I see it. To that end I say, " well done".
not that I want to be purposely obtuse, but considering it was flowing down a river, didn't it give the finger to a whole lot of other things too? how do we know it was addressed specifically to parliament? Unless the journalist has spoken directly to the artist, how can he know for sure? I will admit to not being a regular observer of Czech Politics, but this whole article and stunt just feel strange to me.
I mean According to the Huffington Post, David Cerny‘s creation was placed on a pontoon and set adrift just a few days before the Czech Republic holds a parliamentary election that could put a communist regime in power for the first time in almost twenty five years.A Czech artist known for anti-communist-themed work designed a huge statue of a purple hand giving the middle finger that was floating along Prague’s Vltava river on Monday, right past the country’s Parliamentary buildings.
