Never made marmalade (is marmalade a jelly or a jam?), but I'll keep that in mind. Where do you get the citrus oil from/how do you extract it?
Well, I'd say it's distinct from both because it includes the peel and has a very distinct flavor whereas between jelly and jam the biggest difference is texture. But closer to jam, since jellies usually just use juice. You could theoretically press citrus peels, but I just buy the stuff online. You can get cold pressed oil from all kinds of varieties of citrus for pretty cheap (a few dollars per ounce, a ton of servings considering how strong the stuff is) if you look around a bit.
