...am I doing something wrong here?

I drink probably two nights a week, and only 2 or 3 beers at that (excluding party nights about every other weekend). Definitely slacking on my alcohol consumption, looks like it's time to pick up a few growlers from Thumbs Up Brewery (that's what we call our brewery aka all the homebrew we make).

People drink for different reasons. Some drink to help with social anxiety, others drink to mask some sort of pain that exists, be it physical or emotional and some drink because they have a compulsive addiction and need to. If you were to seriously begin deliberately increasing your intake of anything I think a good question to ask is "WHY?"

Why do I drink? It very much relaxes me and helps me unwind from what can often be a stressful and very demanding day. However, I'd be lying if I said the other reasons I mentioned weren't all factors at one time or another.

I was being facetious with that first line (am_Unition), should have been a bit more clear about it.

The main reason I drink is because I'm fascinated by the process that goes into making alcoholic drinks, and to explore the different tastes that can come out of that (wow that sounds pretentious).

Although, sometimes drinking a crap beer and watching a Jean Claude Van Damme movie works too.

Someday, I will drink a Japanese beer and make my father proud.

It's not like that.

You're not "doing something wrong" by not drinking.

You're "doing something wrong" when you do something wrong, and whether or not that has anything to do with drinking is determined by you, and you alone.
