I got my invite today, already been using it for a working project. It's really nice.

Will be writing up an article about it for my site, I'll post it here.

veen

Probably won't get that article up til this weekend, but I've got a spare invite. You want it?

user-inactivated  ·  3678 days ago  ·  link  ·

Tag me when you post that article, because I hate this shit. Notifications are completely broken, no rhyme or reason to how it categorizes things, and seriously, notifications are not working I need those to use email Google-

Through some kind of magic, notifications work now! Android crashed and now it works as it's supposed to.

BTW do you have Lollipop yet? It should've been OTA this morning, but I guess the Dutch or Canadian version will take a bit longer.

So, update: Lollipop got delayed till the 12th, because of some crippling bug they want to address.

I'm fine with that. I like stable releases.

Oh has it? Good, I'd rather have a useful phone than an unuseful broken one.

By the way, I think the Gmail notifications influence the Inbox notifications, because when I disabled my Gmail notifications, Inbox didn't work anymore. I've removed the Gmail app for now.

Not yet, was out but Ill check in a bit!

I found out that in the notifications settings, Google decided for me that I didn't need notifications for like half of my incoming mails. Turned it on, and...nothing. Have to check it myself. It's weird, when I had Gmail notifications on, I'd get notified twice, and now none.

edit: turned on Gmail notifications, no Inbox ones. I swear they used to work before. What the hell. I'm on Android KitKat, on my Nexus 5, you?

user-inactivated  ·  3676 days ago  ·  link  ·

Same, nexus 5 as well. Till then I can't see myself using it. Maybe it gets fixed when I upgrade to L?

veen  ·  3676 days ago  ·  link  ·

Currently, I just have an Inbox tab open on my computer and I check it regularly on my phone anyways, so it's not that much of a problem. I quite like Inbox even though it has its flaws.

Also: stiiillll waiting for that Lollipop to drop. Gah!

Notifications aren't working for you? They're working just fine for me.

It's categorizations have been kind of odd, but after a day of fixing that manually, it seems to have figured it out.

user-inactivated  ·  3678 days ago  ·  link  ·

What'd you do to fix it manually? Unless that's in the article, in which case, never mind, haha.

But yeah, notifications are busted. Reinstalled, installed, sent google a help ticket and waitin on a response.

Speaking of Notifications, mk, this may just be a personal browser issue, but notifications in Safari are frozen. They work just fine in Chrome, though, and the rest of Hubski works in Safari. Just notifications. Weird.

The sorting? I just hit the three-dot thing on the right, and for "bundled in" I change where it gets bundled into. Seemed to do the trick for me.

Keep in mind, I do that on the web interface, though it seems consistent to the iOS app as well.

My one issue is how it handles "pinned" e-mails. I want these to be liked starred e-mails in Airmail - ever present. I keep sentimental e-mails or important information there. In inbox, if you snooze or finish something, the pinned e-mail goes away ( :( ).

veen  ·  3678 days ago  ·  link  ·

Yes that'd be great! I'll send you my email.
