You, however, are forbidden to touch them. Trademarks, intellectual property rights and copyright law mean advertisers can say what they like wherever they like with total impunity.
Fuck that. Any advert in a public space that gives you no choice whether you see it or not is yours. It’s yours to take, re-arrange and re-use. You can do whatever you like with it. Asking for permission is like asking to keep a rock someone just threw at your head.
You owe the companies nothing. Less than nothing, you especially don’t owe them any courtesy. They owe you. They have re-arranged the world to put themselves in front of you. They never asked for your permission, don’t even start asking for theirs.”

"You have to remember that it’s only a few hundred years, if that much, that artists are working with money." - F.F.Coppola
http://the99percent.com/articles/6973/Francis-Ford-Coppola-O... ...you might get a different point of view of what it has been written by Banksy, at least what I gather is that money has become a big problem (it always has been), the entertainment/advertising industry is trying to push different laws all around the world, SOPA, PIPA, ACTA, to protect the current money making system, and it's not trying to evolve like the others... He in my way of understanding is saying that they feel like entitled to put everything in front of your eyes to lure you with the sole purpose so that you will spend money even if those are things you don't necessarily need (but after you see them all around, you think you do).
