We'll see. I'll believe Wheeler isn't just pandering when the reclassification actually happens.

Verizon supports the open Internet. To apply 1930s-era utility regulation to the Internet under Title II reclassification, would be a radical reversal

War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength.

I cancelled my Verizon plan the day they won the DC case.

I don't know, I think we may be seeing a new era in the Obama presidency. He's talking about free community college education etc. Could be that he's turning in to the liberal most of his supporters thought they were voting for and as such, is asking that his appointees be the same. But, I too will remain cautiously optimistic.

The "fuck it, cooperation didn't work and I'm a lame duck anyway let's ram through some liberal shit" era, I think. Frankly, I'm heartened. This is the point where most presidents start focusing on either (a) legacy or (b) getting the VP elected and since nobody is seriously considering Biden for president, legacy it is.

I hope you're right.

It is a mite suspicious Obama supports both open internet and mass surveillance. It's like he wants people using lots of internet so there's more to spy on.
