I've had 2 bikes stolen. It's a really shitty feeling and it can really make you cynical. You start eyeballing your neighbors in ways you didn't before. Both were stolen from my home.

I had a really awesome mountain bike stolen from the storage unit in the basement of my apartment building...which was key coded so only people who lived in the building had access. Talk about getting suspicious of your neighbors. It is such a shitty thing. Who sees something that clearly belongs to a neighbor (or anyone for that matter) and thinks to themselves, "That's cool; I guess I 'll take it." Unbelievable.

That's where my first bike was stolen from. Some idiot in our building gave access to a homeless kid to sleep down there. He stole a lot of our stuff.
