My fathers Uncle is a famous dubber in Germany. He does the voices of Darth Vader, James Bond and some others. He also has a popular radio talk program. He comes to visit us in the states regularly and is an interesting fella. He and my grandfather have the same exact voice, very low timbre like James Earl Jones but with a german accent. When my grandfather is in germany and someone hears his voice, they often will ask if he is his "James Bond".

That's pretty impressive, bet he has some cool stories to tell! Given his age ,he would have been in Germany during a very turbulent time period.

My grandfather has seen things at a young age that no child should have to see or go through. It has fundamentally changed his nature. Food is a cherished commodity to my grandfather. For years he has always given his employees a loaf of bread every week. He also drives around to friends etc and hands out the loaves. If you were to visit his home he would constantly be offering you food and drink. -To him this is not just offering "food" it's offering "life".
My grandmother is the same way. They lived off of scraps. She tells of following around the "coal" cart as a girl and picking up the pieces that would fall off, it was a treasure to her and her family. During the war my grandfather was sent to live with a family in German occupied france. When the war was over he was 12 and had to find his way home on his own in war torn france/germany. -no small feat. My grandparents are so leery of war and can't understand people in the US that are so quick to war. They're essentially pacifists as a result of their experiences and do a LOT for outreach, as you can read from the link I provided. The stories they both have are definitely interesting and help me to realize how fortunate we are.
