Right now probably not very much. But as more and more people/communities latch on to them, I imagine they will be mining like those W.o.W gold miners in Chinese internet cafes.

There is no such thing as free. You're giving them something for the service.

I am thinking there would be more than just advertisements. We'll see.

Speaking of free, is there anywhere that you can stream the Olympics for free without a password from a cable provider? I don't have cable, I just use a Roku box to my TV and it's crazy to me that I can't just pay 10-20$ to have an Olympic pass?!

If there are, they will quickly be taken down. NBC paid a hefty sum for the rights to it so they will be looking to make sure everyone watches on their network/affiliates.

That's what I figured. It just seems good business sense to offer a full stream of the games for a flat fee, wouldn't you think? Such a flawed business model.

The Olympics = $$$$$$$$$$ or ££££££££££ :-) Iam a tad disappointed at the way London has approached the Olympics it's basically been an exercise in maximising Profit they are even charging £15 to go up an elevator which the artist wanted to be free.
it's cost the UK taxpayer £12 Billion to host the Olympic games and they reckon they will make £13billion so only £1 billion profit and all this money they have used from Cuts making people unemployed which is counter productive to economics. The government should be keeping people in work not making more people poor and spending it on the Olympics if they want the economy to row raise employment and raise wages if people have money they spend it. All that being said i'am sure when it's over it will have been worth it to see a few people have a nice time winning medals that,s more important then people loosing houses and jobs.

If I didn't partake in things that were about $ and profit, I wouldn't have a lot of entertainment options, would I? I'm sorry if the games are having a negative impact where you live, that does suck. Doesn't look like I'll be watching anyways..
