It can be any genre, as long as it makes you feel absolutely joyful.
Cloud Smiles (embedded) is the first that comes to mind, and has the strongest effect on me. It just makes me cry of happiness..
Here are some others:
Frontier Village Dali IX, Final Fantasy IX.
Kiss, Byousoku 5 Centimeter (5 Centimeter Per Second)
1,000 Words, Final Fantasy X
Aerith's Theme, Final Fantasy VII
Descendant of Shinobi by Reuben Kee Got this from his site a long time ago, but it seems the links don't work anymore so I uploaded it.
Yes, I am quite into Final Fantasy soundtracks.
I'm always happy to hear XTC's Season Cycle. It's a great spring time song for me.
I had never heard the "girls" song, thanks for that, I really enjoyed it. I can see why you chose it.

Hey BlueMojo, thanks again for the introduction to Vetiver. The Errant Charm has fast become a favorite new album and I actually used the song Can't You Tell in my last #tngpodcast on travel. It's one of my favorite moments when the lyrics kick in. Great, great song. Cheers!
If you have any other music suggestions along the Vetiver lines, let me know. It's been a welcome addition to my music life.Good music tilts the odds when gambling with the shuffle button, right?
It does, but I must have had 500 different demo versions of songs I have recorded, plus the inevitable pop-candy song. I was joking with bgood79 that it could just have easily been Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cindy Lauper. Honestly, the odds (on that iPod) were stacked in the "inappropriate song" direction.
Your iPod story is pretty impressive then. There's no way I would've rolled the dice a second time if I was that stoked, in that setting. I haven't traveled in a while and I'm starting to get the urge, so I appreciated your story. As far as tunes go, Vetiver is tough to match, but I would enjoy trying. I'll give it a think. With all of those demos on your iPod, I'm curious if you record or perform? What style? etc.
also - I have a bunch of demos and goof-ball songs I've recorded for Hubski under the #tng tag if you're ever bored and want to check it out.
Great timing on the question BlueMojo, I actually just posted a song titled Grow Up to Hubski yesterday. I have a band called "the new green" in which I write the songs, play rhythm guitar and sing lead. Here's a Link to our website where we give away our second album for free. As for the "style", we've been described as "orchestrated folk-pop". Not sure about the "folk" part, but I'd gladly take the rest. Thanks for listening to the podcast, it's really a blast to record those things. The editing is super fun, the incorporation of music and having conversations with friends and other interesting people is great. I plan on branching out and starting to incorporate interviews with people outside of my circle of friends/acquaintances. Any suggestions on podcast topics is always welcome. You ever hear the music of Discovery? You mentioned that the Vetiver albums was your summer groove, until you introduced me to them, Discovery was mine.
HELL YES! Thank you for this. I have a new album to pick up!! Here is a link to Can't You Tell -Really dig this. Here is Wonder Why Just bought The Errant Charm. Thanks again.
Check out the "markup" in the bottom right hand side of the comment box. It should have what you're looking for.
If you put the url in the "URL" space when submitting you can have 1 video there. Then you can post links to subsequent video's in the text body of the post but they will not show. Only 1 video per post at this point. You can post multiple images though.
I'll just put the first one that comes to mind. Do You Realize by the Flaming Lips. It's also the song I used for briandmyer's post Last Chance to Play DJ. It is a very joyful song because it forces the listener to realize the fleeting nature of life and hopefully embrace it more fully. Great song!
Yeah, I like that one too, especially because of the lines that follow. I was debating whether or not to post all of the lyrics earlier, but now I think I will. Hope you don't mind. Do You Realize by: The Flaming Lips Do You Realize - that you have the most beautiful face
Do You Realize - we're floating in space -
Do You Realize - that happiness makes you cry
Do You Realize - that everyone you know someday will die And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know
You realize that life goes fast
It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun doesn't go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round Do You Realize - Oh - Oh - Oh
Do You Realize - that everyone you know
Someday will die - And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know
You realize that life goes fast
It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun doesn't go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round Do You Realize - that you have the most beautiful face
Do You Realize
