Virology is definitely not in my wheelhouse so I have no idea how credible this is.
.... I am getting bombarded with this from all directions. In Arabic, in Hebrew, and even in German. And every time it is the same. No scientific evidence that makes sense and very shallow, dumbed down explanations like "its a combination of A and B and it has to be man made"... To me the opposite is obvious. It's setting the stage for another "war in terror" like bullshit wagon with China as target. Do I like what China is or is becoming? NO. Do I believe their numbers of cases? Just as much I believe official numbers coming from Brazil (no). But it doesn't mean that this an orchestrated biological warfare attack... (the choice of words "Chinese Coronavirus" is already a hint to what I wrote above)
Ok I listened to the 10min (ridiculously short) podcast with the dude . The only interesting part : he argued, that covid on patients latest in the historic line (in Seattle, according to him) were proven to contain way less VIH marker in their covid-DNA. The point being: the more the virus mutate , the more it will shred the VIH part of it's DNA NOW! Today there was a second podcast on the same plateform. An intervention by other scientists about Montagnier: https://player.acast.com/frequence-medicale-et-pourquoi-docteur/episodes/journal-du-170420 What was said: 2- in 2011 the dude quit France after conflict with other scientists. He go work in a Shanghai laboratory 3- the dude had a conference in 2017 were he advised against vaccination. 100 scientists signed an article denouncing the position of Montagnier 4- he had some controversial statement like: good food can prevent HIV, DNA generate wave, and the benefit of essential oil (in his podcast-interview, Montagnier said :" I can help, but I need a lot of funding. I can use wave to cure people" ) Other interesting idea: One Scientist argue, that USA and France are trying to shift the blame to China because they fucked up their response to covid, and they want to be re elected. Even if China is responsible somehow, it wont solve any part of the crisis in any way. Or change how dumb they acted compared to Germany, or Taiwan. But , politically it make sense. I think the guy , Montagnier, is full of shit. (Nota: I use the term DNA here, but the correct term might be RNA) 1- The Nobel price was given to him and a female colleague, and at the time, people already doubted the extend of his part in the VIH discovery
Almost always, warnings from the larger scientific community concerning an individual are only given in the worst circumstances pertaining to said individual. So this could be a snake-oil-flavored dead end. Doesn't mean he's wrong about this coronavirus's origins, but it makes me doubt his methods.
I'm not into conspiracy theories or gross speculation but I think the points in this video are a compelling case that it IS a man made virus and we (the world) should collectively take some sort of punitive action against the Chinese government. The Case against China: I don't know how to assess the scientific claims but he's saying: The Wuhan strain is a combination of 2 viruses one which can spread easily to humans from animals (but isn't dangerous) and one which is deadly but doesn't spread to humans and the dangerous one has parts of HIV embedded to enable human transmission and the chance of this occurring naturally are so astronomically small that it's basically impossible to be a natural evolution. Update: ---------- This article in Nature concludes it probably was natural mutations : Two quotes and So it's feasible that it was natural processes although no conclusive proof one way or the other. In the midst of the global COVID-19 public-health emergency, it is reasonable to wonder why the origins of the pandemic matter. Detailed understanding of how an animal virus jumped species boundaries to infect humans so productively will help in the prevention of future zoonotic events.
The genomic features described here may explain in part the infectiousness and transmissibility of SARS-CoV-2 in humans. Although the evidence shows that SARS-CoV-2 is not a purposefully manipulated virus, it is currently impossible to prove or disprove the other theories of its origin described here. However, since we observed all notable SARS-CoV-2 features, including the optimized RBD and polybasic cleavage site, in related coronaviruses in nature, we do not believe that any type of laboratory-based scenario is plausible.
And there may never be 100% conclusive proof. We're certainly already in the midst of an information warfare front on this. Although he appears to understand some technical concepts correctly, Molyneux has an agenda, and fails to use citations. His links in the description are funding solicitations. The scientific process takes time. People want answers, but we have to be sure. We always knew this could happen naturally. My mind is not yet made up.
I look to the Soviet Union for answers. When Kyshtym happened, there was documentation, there was a paper trail. Nobody really saw it outside of the circle of trust because the Soviets managed to keep things on the DL but there was paper. When Chernobyl happened? It got out so we have documentation (trustworthy or not) by the minute. You can continue on with the space program: we've got horrifically bad footage of Nedelin, even though it was denied by the Soviets/Russians until 1995. Sverdlovsk, on the other hand? We have first person accounts of how the release happened and the Russians still denied it happened. Aralsk? 50,000 vaccinations but nothing actually happened there. We don't even know that much about the Rajneeshee attack even though Ma Anand Sheela entered an Alford Plea and went to jail for 29 months. Ken Alibek pointed out that one of the principle advantages of a biological warfare program is it's extremely easy to hide. Top US officials legit toured Vektor and found nothing despite the fact that the Soviets had produced 20,000 tons of anthrax spores there the previous year and were in production less than two months earlier. We're never going to know. There will be all sorts of circumstantial evidence, but every politician will describe it as circumstantial evidence, and every businessman will continue to buy cheap chinese shit made by people with a legitimate fear that if their social credit drops too low Xi will harvest their organs.
Yes it certainly feels "propagandist" which is why I added the edit but with kleinbl00 's other post I'm leaning towards lab fuck up,
I wonder if anyone is going to sue the Chinese government for wrongful death, a la the Saudis after 9/11. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to sue a foreign government in US court, but there could be exceptions. Suing the lab, which is an arm off the government, could be interesting, too. Discovery would be more entertaining than any movie you've ever seen.
