There's another dimension, too, which is that if we're loving our neighbors, we probably shouldn't be drowning them in rising seas or choking them with mercury-laden air pollution. Harming the environment harms people, so even if one doesn't care about nature for nature's sake, they still should try to limit their environmental impact.
100% agree. and there's ALL KINDS of other "christian" reasons to be good to the earth. In the end - christian or not, religious or not - we all better wake up and smell the ozone. There are sensible ways for us to be better stewards. I don't think taking sides on the issue is join to solve much. Climate change denial does as much damage as selling carbon offset credits. disclaimer: I'm not accusing anyone here of taking sides.
