This sent me down an awesome Michael Jackson video trail. The favorite of which was this one of him recording in studio some of his parts for "We Are the World". What a gifted dude. They ask him to back up to get different takes and each one is spot on. Then they have him do one without the music and you get a clean listen to his phenomenal vocals. Dude was the shit.
http://www.studiomultitracks.com/tag/jackson-5/ Most of the performance is there, but with a rap break in the middle, kind of disrupts the whole thing, but doesn't kill it. I"m suren some producer got the multi cut in his rapper on the vocal track and whoever posted this only had access to a rap vocal track. I always thought that James Jamerson played bass on this, but I guess it was Wilton. Did you hear Rhymefests MJ dedication album? I think it's fantastic and if you haven't check it out. It was a free album made by Fest and Mark Ronson. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlFfdPVT9lo
You can tell that Rhymefest is a huge fan and Ronson is a pretty faultless producer. They really keep Michael's vital force in the album. I think all the download links have gone cold on this one, so if you want a copy send me a message.
