Arrington is bored because he is the hood ornament on a tractor-trailer rig that left the station in 2001, steamed through 2007, started flagging in 2008 and is on vapors in 2012.

Whatever happens next, techcrunch will not be relevant.

As humorous as your statement is, I think his feeling is still a valid one.

Right now, I feel like there is quite a lot of startup for startup sake.

That's the whole point - there's lots of shit going on, but Arrington is blind to it because it isn't in his wheelhouse.

Because Arrington is over.

"Startup culture" was an ephemeral anomaly at best. The fact that we're seeing the end of it isn't an "I'm bored" it's a "he's doomed."

I think in large part startup culture became such a phenom because it was fueled by money with no place to go for returns.
