I recently made a post about this, but I've been listening to a ton of Astronautalis lately, he's a great hip-hop artist. Outside of that, Joy Formidable recently released a new album so I've been going back and listening to all of their music. It's pretty good arena-sized Indie Rock with a female lead singer and guitarist. They have a really big sound. I just got done interviewing Astronautalis and watching him do a studio session, he's a very down to Earth kind of guy, as is the rest of his band. Great guys, I'm glad they're starting to get more popular.
You interview him in Minnesota or somewhere on tour? He's from Jacksonville but he's based out of Minneapolis now, I first heard of him a couple years ago when he had a feature on a POS track. Been digging him for awhile, he's got a food flow and whoever does his production knows how to make some solid beats.
I interviewed him during his tour with Why? (who my roommate interviewed earlier in the day). He's working on a new album, and said POS has been working on it with him. He actually played a rough version of a new song last night, and it was killer! I have high hopes for this album.
Nice. It's good to know he's still collaborating with POS. He's done a couple tracks with him in the past and I always liked them together.
