This week i will post on behalf of my father: Back in 2008, I drove from Michigan to DC with my parents to see Obama's inauguration. I made a bunch of CD's for the car ride. My father was recently in a long drive and found one if the CD's I made, Wilco's *a Ghost is Born*, and I received the following email from him:I drove back from Peoria yesterday and decided to look into our onboard jukebox (your mom’s car). When we went to DC for Obama-1, you had downloaded some CDs. This enabled me to listen to A Ghost is Born. The volume was roaring and I heard it from beginning to end. What an advantage to be by yourself. It was awesome!
As for me, I bought a new shirt this week. The guy helping me at the store started talking music with me. Turns out we both love Sufjan Stevens and were talking about his performance on KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic -an awesome program. He suggested that I should listen to Denison Witmer and I did. My response was "meh". Have any of you listened to him? Any different responses? It just seemed sort of typical singer/songwriter stuff. I recently listened to Transfiguration of Vincent by M Ward in full. What an amazing album.
