Well the title says it all I'm on FB and all other social media's just wanted to learn something else
thenewgreen, mk, bfv, b_b, lil, JakobVirgil, insomniasexx, Mindwolf, ButterflyEffect (and _refugee_ I guess :) ) are all good people to start following (there are lots of others too!). It is also really useful to follow various hashtags and websites. I personally follow and use #evolution, #science, #thehumancondition, #anthropology, #biology, #technology, #future, #ai, etc. Finally, the hubskihose is really underrated (or more like under-utilized) but a good way to keep in touch w/ Hubski via Twitter. Oh, and here is Hubski's Facebook.
Such as theadvancedapes. There are a plethora of interesting users to follow, that's for sure!(there are lots of others too!)
Check the tags page and follow shit that you like. And follow the people that like that stuff too. Click on peoples names to get an idea of who they are, follow them, message them, etc. Click on your own name to get your settings. You can change the color of hubski and stuff there. Badges are for sick-ass awesome posts. Kind of a best of. http://hubski.com/badgesubs
I would highly recommend following JTHipster and #shouldiwatchthis. Not that I'm biased. Also, welcome to the community TeamJoas. You need to shower before using the pool, and there may or may not be chemicals that change color with pee, so be careful. The nearest bathroom is 4 blocks down at the Ethiopian restaurant, so I hope you don't need to pee often. None of the locks on the doors work so don't store any valuables in the open.
Welcome to Hubski TeamJoas! You should definitely check out the community page and click around on usernames and tags until you start seeing content that interests you. From there, it's easy enough to start following people and letting it snowball into your own personal bubble. As ecib has said, the chatter is another good way to find new and interesting content!
Welcome! Who you should follow is a highly personal thing... browse for a while and as you see content and comments you like, follow the person and see how it goes. no harm done in following and unfollowing users. YOU get to create your feed based on the people you choose to follow.
Welcome TeamJoas :) Others have made some good suggestions on where to start. Let me say that once you pick a few people to follow and drop in on a few conversations, the 'Chatter' link at the top of the page is a good way to find some conversation to jump into when you're looking for a fix. It's one of the better features on the site. It's relatively new feature and a but unsung imo. Enjoy your stay.
