But meh. Open your eyes, sheep. Reddit isn't the same reddit as we remember for 6 years ago. Things change and just because you have a willful blindness against said change, doesn't mean it's not true.
Awesome. I think it works better if you let people know about hubski when it feels natural. I don't ever want to feel like I'm spamming any site with hubksi links just to do it and I don't really feel comfortable posting a hubski link in a community I'm not a part of, like /r/conspiracy. Feel free to do it whenever you feel it's appropriate though, especially since it seems like you are part of that community. I welcome any and all new users and really like all the people who have joined from /r/conspiracy so far.
We've never advertised really. What we have found is that people that are passionate about Hubski will mention us of their own accord. Trust me, I'm usually the first to want to say "GO TO HUBSKI" but mk always talks me down from that cliff. -Wisely so. It means a lot more when it comes from someone like you than it does someone like mk or me. A while back syncretic mentioned us on reddit and many people have made the assumption that he "works for Hubski" or is even the founder of hubski. Such is the cynicism of these things. So rather than play in to that, we avoid it by not being the ones to wave the Hubski banner. That said, we have noticed when people mention us it works and traffic increases. We really appreciate that. By all means, keep pounding the Hubski drum, this is how the site grows. Thank you very much cowboyhaze.
Preaching to the choir pal :) We are growing though, and we are growing at a good clip. If we grew too fast we would risk compromising the quality of the community and the overall ethos that has evolved on the site. Slow and steady...
Pretty much the reason why I jumped ship to come here. And yes, I'm going to jump ship from Hubski if it happens here too. But yeah, shitstorm's been a-brewin' since Pao got in.
