I think you don't understand the importance of the change because you are a moderator of default subs. The changes don't really affect those, but the smaller subs, where the upvote to downvote ratio did count and those subs that used it for voting purposes.
hm... it looks like you don't have to (but probably should still) specify that you edited, as there is no asterix showing the post was edited.
The fact that you put the subtext of not interested into "I find you unattractive and uninteresting." is very telling. Just because a girl is not looking for someone at that point in time, does not mean it is an upfront to your character. She doesn't know you, and is not interested in that at that point in time. She is not insulting you, and shouldn't have to validate you just because she had a brief conversation with you.
Ah feature I would like and maybe it is already available in HES (haven't downloaded it yet) is 1) the ability to save a comment, or to Pocket a comment. I use Pocket for a lot of comments and sites I want to revisit later.
I found out about hubski when there was the whole thing with the /r/technology sub controversy. I will be honest I haven't been back here much but obviously did make an account. With the new controversy on the up/downvotes system, I am feeling like reddit is making it's way to a /r/hailcorporate level and that saddens me. The admins are usually very responsive, but on this issue they have just been defensive. I think I might be migrating over here.

Just joined too. Commented on a few things, but I will have to figure out this site as compared to Reddit, before I start posting links or discussions.
It is crazy to think the US has been an innovator in so many things and being ruled by capitalism which has also increased innovation and early on, adopted anti-trust and monopoly laws in order to increase competition has fallen in to the same traps that come with capitalism time and time again. It is hard to believe that Google Fiber will take 20+ years to come to many major cities in the US while other countries, further behind then us, already have 100 mbs at a low cost in small cities. It seems that they should think they are shooting themselves in the foot in the big picture. However, that is the thing with bottom lines for shareholder profit margin companies. It is all about the profit now, with no regard for the future, until they are forced to change, or can control the change and slow it from happening.
I came here because of this comment and link Love reddit for the most part, I have tailored my front page to filter out the crap and find things that interest me, however I realize there are still filters that I am not aware about that keep me from getting all the information, or just one side of things. Hoping this site will keep me more informed.
