I have been trying to reduce the amount of stuff I posses over the last months, but haven't been successful. This motivated me a bit, so I wanted to share it.
I totally forgot about this until now. Shoot me a mail if you're still interested.
Norwegian Air Shuttle has a brilliant way to keep the inflight wifi free and profitable to the company. They have a website with a couple of movies hosted directly from the router. This means that the download speed of those movies is extremely fast. Then they lend those movies out for 5 euros a piece.
Thanks, I will consider it.
Would you recommend that I start by learning the Arabic "alphabet"? Or is the ability to read Arabic not needed in order to learn to speak it?
Currently it's just blank. I have been thinking about using a marker to fill in the weeks that are history -- but something about it seems wrong. The weeks are still there in my memory, and I would argue that how I view my life and memories change as I get older. Therefor to say that a week is finished or should be colored a specific way is to stop thinking about what I have done and what was and wasn't good. I prefer to just stare at it, and the imagine the memories of my life in every single box.
I would love to learn it with you! How would this work? Voice chat? It might be hard for me to acquire those books, since I live in Norway and the supply of introductory books of Arabic in English is not that large. Internet resources (youtube videos?) and more standardized books, such as dictionaries, would be easier.
Reading this makes me hate the Norwegian public transit culture even more. It is viewed as extremely weird to start a conversation with someone you don't know. I broke this rule today, I started to chat with an Italian guy while I was on a train on my way to the city of Moss. Heads were turning as I stole the silence from the fellow passengers. I had a lovely conversation, though.
I recently bought a 'life calender'. It's a table with 52 columns and 90 rows. It encompasses every week in your life until you're 90. I bought it as a poster and it currently hangs above my bed. Every time I feel lost, I find the current week. It helps me grasp how short life really is, and I would recommend everyone to at least take a look at one. I think the concept originates from waitbutwhy.com -- which also sells them for a reasonable price.
Thanks, I've never been to their website before. I did find a course there, now I just need to find out if I like it.
I have used duolingo to learn French in the past, but they do not have an Arabic course. Do you know any other online language courses? It doesn't need to be free.
