Theme for Wednesday, October 16th: Autumn
Autumn: Took these in Vegas last week. There were a lot of fall themed decorations at the different hotels.
Wow, that first image is full on creepy. How was Vegas? Edit: aren't you a newly married man? How did the wedding go? I hope all is well.
Vegas was Vegas. Lots of drinking, couple shows, some gambling, good meals, and a little relaxing by the pool. I like Vegas, but my wife loves it. And yes, I got married on the 5th. It went perfectly and it was a great day. Flew by, but got to spend a lot of time with family and friends, and everyone had a really good time.
It's fine to post new or old shots. I think the theme may get more specific as we progress. That's a wonderful shot of the tree canopy. Thanks for sharing.
Immediately upon seeing this, a phrase came in to my head: the long shadows of autumn.
It looks like your new house gets some good light.
That it does, natural and artificial! 12' high ceilings, polished floorboards, white walls and windows abound, plenty of sunlight. Out back is a courtyard backyard, now with older style string lighting draping across diagonally, trees overhead, and working on some more wooden tables, chairs, loungers, and maybe an esky chest. With any lucky it'll be a cracking little beer garden when completed!
Sounds great, I'll be over in a few days and plan on staying for a while. You don't mind, right?
It's nowhere near finished unfortunately, haven't got all the outdoor bits I need/can afford haha. I'm still waiting on a homebrew setup as a belated bday present, I dream of building a little stand to hold a keg, lines, and a tap to pour draught in said backyard!
That sounds great BlackBird, good luck with it. I can tell from your writing that you are really excited about it.
There is a slight drop shadow on all embedded images on Hubski. Is that what you're talking about?
