Sorry for the late start.
Cat has liked sitting in this bowl since she was a kitten. Once she stopped fitting it went from cute to comical, and when she stopped being able to exit the bowl on her own it became a pain. Then one day she was stuck and alone, so she threw herself and the bowl off of a piece of furniture and destroyed it. When we came home she was asleep among the shards.
Seems very Halloween appropriate. That last photo of the bat is awesome. What type of bat is that? I'd like to look it up to have some perspective on size. It seems huge from the photo.
TIL that nearly 1/4 of the worlds mammals are bats. The video says that their wing-span can be up to 6-feet! That's huge. I can't imagine walking around outside and seeing thousands of bats of that size fill the sky.
I wanted to know what your text was a reference to, and now I just spent the past fifteen minutes watching Sesame Street clips on Youtube. I'd never seen the show and knew nothing about it other than the names Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and a few others. I always assumed the Generation Y/early-Millennial Sesame Street reverence was just nostalgia (often of the obnoxious, meme-ish type), but the clips I watched were really awesome. Just thought I'd share.
Are you familiar with The Muppets? both shows occupy a similar place in my childhood memories.
Do you need to take a fresh photo for the challenge or can it be something from the past?
Nice play on words with the Cats. My grandfathers company produces all of the break shoes and pads for all Cat machinery worldwide. -Little factoid.
