I had a job with a tape player in this prep area that was set off from everything else. worked a few hours in there all alone five days a week. It was in the age of CD's and I didn't have any tapes of my own. Of the three tapes that someone had left in that room this was one. Listened to it at least a few hundred times, still love it.
That's awesome cgod. I have a similar occurrence. I was a dishwasher at a pizza joint in Missoula MT and in the dish pit we had a CD player. On Friday/Sat we would have two of us washing dishes. The guy I shared the shift with and I split the night regarding our picks. He ALWAYS put on The Mollusk by Ween. I must have heard that every weekend for over a year. I still dig the album.
This was the second Smiths album I owned. At the time, I didn't think I could like an album as much as I like Louder than Bombs. I was wrong. "How Soon is Now?" was a favorite at the club we used to go to on Tuesday nights in Pontiac for "Homesick Night". Great times. Thanks for posting this. It's the perfect soundtrack for the unusually cloudy/rainy sky today.
Not really. It's songs, albums and artists that I think pabs and other youngsters should know.
it's really cool, the time periods and bands you name are pretty much timeless.
