I have a huge back catalog so hopefully you all can give me a reason to watch one of these: Vertigo Andrei Rublev Once Upon a Time in the West Raging Bull Ratatouille Brokeback Mountain Life is Beautiful The Piano Teacher Hero Moonrise Kingdom Once The Hunt Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid Cinema Paradiso And Dallas Buyers Club as well cause I've been sitting on that one for forever.
Ive been trying to get everyone to watch tarkovsky since the club began, and Andrei Rublev would be perfect! Also, Dallas Buyers Club is awful, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time on it. Edit: woah why did my comment have so many duplicates
Raging Bull is amazing. Regardless of the club, I highly recommend that you take the time to check it out. Are you a Scorsese fan?
Oh, I will eventually. I just haven't been in the mood for it. Same with Vertigo. I'll probably have watched both by the end of the year. I like Scorsese, but I don't love him. I think he's a great director, mind. I have heavily enjoyed Goodfellas, The Aviator, The Wolf of Wall Street, Casino, The Departed, Taxi Driver, Shutter Island, and even Gangs of New York. I probably like Taxi Driver best. But his films don't really resonate with me as much as others have if you know what I mean. Still, I'll keep it in mind and maybe watch it soon since you recommend it and I know it's considered one of the best films ever.
Taxi Driver is my favorite of his also! If you do check out Raging Bull, lemme know what you thought.
Cinema Paradiso gets my vote. I'd watch that again.
