Are you scared of heights? Do you get the call of the void when you look down? Do you like watching people move around like ants from a high up place?
I personally always like being high up and climbing trees was my favorite thing when I was younger. Slowly getting into rock climbing lately :)
Post you favorite picture you took from up high! Or take it as an excuse to go out and explore new heights and report back with some cool picture.
It would be time to update the shoutout list with the new users and stuff. I'll remove everyone from the list and start fresh from this post.

Getting refill pods for the coffee machine was an enduring difficulty of the accommodations. Just one coffee was the recipe for a good lucid dream, however.
Holy moly. That setting is my single, one-day-I'll-be-rich dream since… forever. Would you mind sharing the name of the hotel?
It was ridiculous, the only time I have felt like I was on vacation while still in the hotel. It's the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti. We caught a sale a few months after it opened and the Taksim Suite was cheaper than the two rooms we were going to need at our usual hotel by the airport. When we found out the room included access to the 34th-floor lounge with 360-degree views and complementary breakfast, snacks, beer, wine and sometimes liquor through the evening, we decided it wasn't so extravagant at all, just good financial planning! We got on good terms with the staff by pretending not to notice the plutocrats' kids terrorizing the place, and they looked the other way when we smuggled friends in later. Looks like there's a summer sale going on now, and the same suite is listed for TRY518 = US$193. Maybe that won't have to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience after all...
Thank you! That sounds like a pretty nice package, plutocratic children notwithstanding, and I might have some leave coming up in September… For a moment there I was shocked how affordable even the large suites where, until I noticed the prices where listed per day. Oh well. So much for my sudden bout with megalomania.
I was there, once, a while ago. Very much enjoyed it. Architecture, cemeteries, food, beer; those are my memories. California is amazing to me, being able to drive 2 or 3 hours away to find oneself in a completely different climate and environment, well, it's almost enough to stay. :)
Here's two shots I took of the Yellowstone River as it falls through the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.
On the Chief. Squamish, B.C., Canada. Just past my foot is a 2,000 foot fall. Straight down. I like to lay on my belly and stick my head over, but I can only do that for a few seconds before I start getting freaked out.
Well let's see....it was one of those things I lucked out on. The E.A.A operates this plane, and one night at work I heard an ad offering rides on this plane. Since the next day was Sept. 11th, I figured the best way to acknowledge this would be to fly on an aeroplane. It was $70, and they flew a loop around town. As for the actual plane; it is really narrow inside. [img][/img] An average person can stand in the middle and touch both sides of the interior. It is very loud, like 20 Harley Davidson motorcycles are propelling it through the air. The cruising speed is about 90 mph, so it is a leisurely trip. What else? This plane was apparently in the movie Public Enemies, and I sat in the same seat Johnny Depp was in.
Here's one from the highest I've hiked: the summit of Algonquin Peak in New York this past Easter Sunday.
