I'm changing up how we deal with paragraph spacing slightly. Basically your text should be more What You See Is What You Get, if you create a new line it will create a new paragraph. The reason we didn't do this before is because our formatting is based on a subset of Markdown and Markdown has some weirdly peculiar rules about paragraphs.
Hopefully this won't break anything, but because of trying to work around Markdown's edge cases things might have slipped my tests, so let us know if anything strange pops up here or in #bugski
FINALLY YOU GUYS IT WORKS THANK YOU BASED forwardslash (THIS IS A MAJOR FORMATTING UPDATE)
Also, flagamuffin hopefully this is what you were hoping for.
This is a QA test. In this paragraph are three lines. These lines are separated by line breaks. When I'm typing this up, I'm writing a sentence, then hitting the ENTER key to go to the next line, and in the comment writing box there is no spacing between the lines. - Now here's a new paragraph, in which I followed the last paragraph with hitting the ENTER key twice. We expect to see a wider gap between this paragraph and the last. However, there was no difference, and so I put a dash at the end of each paragraph to indicate the different paragraphs. - Now trying something different, I just hit the ENTER key three times after the end of the last paragraph. Still the same. The results of this QA test indicate that the newest Minor Formatting Update might prove problematic for poetry posts, and comments containing a mix of lists and paragraphs. Also, given the stark difference between 1) how this comment appears in the text box while I'm writing/editing and 2) the posted comment, this formatting update does not appear to be WYSIWYG.
