I'm no galen, but I'm pretty close! :D
My class rank is calculated by West Point based on my standardized test scores, since my school doesn't declare class rankings. A 35 out of 36 puts me at a class rank of 1 out of 100, making me the top student in my class as far as West Point is concerned. No complaints here! If I get into the United States Military Academy I'm throwing a huge pizza party for Hubski, cause I really feel like I owe part of that success to so many of you here. Peace!
p.s. maybe weed is a performance enhancing drug after all ._.
Just keep doing sections, mark the problems you got wrong, find out how to do them. I think the study guide books are actually helpful and worth purchasing-- ask upperclassmen!--because they include tests, answers & explanations, and most include all the info & topics you'll need to know per subject. It's all pattern recognition, 100%. Once you do enough problems you'll look at one and say, "oh thats that problem" and not waste time trying to figure it out. I used to test myself by doing the first 10 problems on the SAT in under 10 mins, to make sure I'll have the easy ones cleared on the test and still have as much time as possible. That's all I got, and I'm sure you'll do great- just dont panic! And let us know how you do!
DUDE! CONGRATS!! So your composite must still be solid overall, and if you have the time I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to 36 it all around since yoire clearly capable.
I'm happy for you, congratulations! Obviously, years of hard work went into that number, and that is something worth eating some pizza over, for sure. How does a virtual pizza party work anyway?
I'm taking a road trip to Hubski HQ with a dozen boxes of New York pizza and there's nothing you can do to stop me!How does a virtual pizza party work anyway?
I took the SAT first and got a 2180 after absurd amounts of studying. I took maybe half a practice test two months ago before taking the ACT, which I only took cause West Point said so and got a 35. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
To be clear, this test means nothing for anyone as far as anything real is concerned. I have friends who are set up for so much success and nowhere near the 30 club, it's just its own little game. That said- thanks! :P
Anyway, as important as measurable scores seem to be, the real skills we need in life are not measurable by tests but by how much people are energized and encouraged by you and the positive impact you have on their lives. You might be too young to know this yet. But probably not. GO PABSY! How can this not be a win-win-win for your self-esteem and your mom and future happiness.
I got a 24 on my ACT. I was still drunk from the night before. I took it because I was told I had to. I was sure I was going to be a rock star. There are a lot of people that took the test and did much, much better than me. I recall a guy named Jared that got a 34 and liked to rub it in everyone's face. Jared paints houses now. -nothing wrong with that, but it is not what most people would call the pinnacle of business success. Interpersonal communication skills go a LONG way in life and Jared just doesn't have them. I would argue that no matter what one does in life, if you're a good communicator and can leave any interaction making the person you're with feel good about themselves, you'll go far. Conan O'brien's last speech at the tonight show is spot on.
Youre my hero. But seriously, if we spent as much time invhigh school developing communication skills as we did understanding the mitochondria, we'd have incredible turnouts of future success just by giving the abilty for intelligent people to pave their own way.I got a 24 on my ACT.
