Anyway, as important as measurable scores seem to be, the real skills we need in life are not measurable by tests but by how much people are energized and encouraged by you and the positive impact you have on their lives. You might be too young to know this yet. But probably not. GO PABSY! How can this not be a win-win-win for your self-esteem and your mom and future happiness.
I got a 24 on my ACT. I was still drunk from the night before. I took it because I was told I had to. I was sure I was going to be a rock star. There are a lot of people that took the test and did much, much better than me. I recall a guy named Jared that got a 34 and liked to rub it in everyone's face. Jared paints houses now. -nothing wrong with that, but it is not what most people would call the pinnacle of business success. Interpersonal communication skills go a LONG way in life and Jared just doesn't have them. I would argue that no matter what one does in life, if you're a good communicator and can leave any interaction making the person you're with feel good about themselves, you'll go far. Conan O'brien's last speech at the tonight show is spot on.
Youre my hero. But seriously, if we spent as much time invhigh school developing communication skills as we did understanding the mitochondria, we'd have incredible turnouts of future success just by giving the abilty for intelligent people to pave their own way.I got a 24 on my ACT.
