He's great, isn't he?! Put on a great show I saw years ago at the Michigan Theatre in Ann Arbor. This album "Poses" was in heavy rotation for a while.

Summer Cherry Ghost was a really fun/poppy orchestral album. It was released in 2004 and I'm pretty sure much of the material was written well before that. In short, it's an album written by a young man. The themes include leaving college to pursue music, finding yourself etc. -But all of this communicated in an extremely "bright" way. Tim is and always will be a pretty "upbeat" guy and although I loved Summer Cherry Ghosts, it can be a bit too bright for me. He has MUCH more balance on his new album.

An example is the song "Mining Accident" a song about falling in love/connecting amidst natural disasters.... "your mine when the government falls, when anarchy reigns we can have a good talk.... will you be mine when the government falls"? -You wouldn't have found this lyric on his first album.

Listen to this haunting song "Witches": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_L1UHZRSU2A

The vocal arrangement is awesome! As you can hear, this album has a sadness the other didn't. 7 years have passed and with time comes pain and disappointment. -You can hear this in his new album and frankly, it's better for it.

"Why heaven never helps you, who can tell Every hope you want to cling to, gone as well"

-I like the new wounded Timmy :)
